Men often reach out for therapy only when they hit their limit — burnout, relationship strain, emotional shutdown, or feeling like they’re carrying everything alone.

You don’t need to wait for a crisis.

I work with men who want straightforward conversation, honest insight, and practical strategies that actually make a difference. No jargon. No judgment. Just real work that moves you forward.

A Straight-Talking, Trauma-Informed Approach

Men often want therapy that’s real, direct, and grounded — not vague, overly clinical, or filled with jargon.

My work is shaped by years of supporting men in high-pressure, responsibility-heavy environments, including military members, first responders, and men in leadership roles. These are people conditioned to stay composed, push through and handle everything themselves.

This gives me a deep understanding of:

Emotional shutdown - Performance pressure - Identity loss - Trauma exposure - The instinct to “handle it alone” - Difficulty trusting support

My approach focuses on:

  • Understanding the patterns driving your reactions

  • Building emotional skills you weren’t taught growing up

  • Strengthening your confidence, communication, and relationships

  • Working through trauma without losing your stability

  • Helping you move from survival mode into actual connection and clarity

This is practical, honest work that meets men where they truly are — not where they “should” be.

Who I work with

I work with men who are:

  • High-functioning but burning out

  • Carrying trauma, guilt, or emotional wounds

  • Struggling with communication or emotional shutdown

  • Feeling responsible for everyone else’s feelings

  • Navigating relationship strain or loss

  • Dealing with anger, numbness, or overwhelm

  • Wanting to break generational patterns and become more grounded

You don’t have to be falling apart to benefit from therapy — just ready to be honest with yourself.

About CMC Therapy

I’m Ceilidh, a therapist specializing in men’s mental health, trauma, PTSD, and attachment-based work. My experience includes supporting men from military backgrounds, emergency services, and high-stress professions — individuals who often feel pressure to stay strong, perform and push through no matter what.

This background allows me to understand the unique challenges men face: identity shifts, emotional suppression, responsibility overload, trauma exposure, and the difficulty opening up in relationships.

My work is direct, grounded, and collaborative. You won’t be talked down to. You won’t be judged. And you won’t be met with vague therapeutic language that leaves you guessing. Just real conversations that help you understand yourself and move forward with strength.

Common Questions

Is online therapy effective?
Yes. Research shows online therapy is as effective as in-person sessions, especially for trauma, relationship issues, and emotional regulation.

Do I need to be in your province?
No — I’m licensed to work with clients in Ontario, Alberta, BC, and Saskatchewan.

What if I’ve never done therapy before?
Many of the men I work with are new to therapy. I guide the process clearly and directly so you always know what we’re working on and why.

You don’t have to carry all of this alone.
